Do you spend more time on myLot than you plan to?

Sometimes I log on and plan to stay an hour. Then I see a discussion of mine had more responses than I expected and I started reading them and replying to the responses, before I know it, two hours have passed by. Or sometimes I just wander through discussions replying to them and find myself staying longer than I planned. Does this happen to you?

You mean do I get lost in mylot and forget the real world? Man oh man, too many times to count, LOL. This place has a way of hooking me for an hour or so when I just meant to do a couple of replies and leave. I do still manage to spend only a couple of hours a day, but sometimes those couple are right together.

Yes many times, actually I want to open my lot before I prepare to cook for lunch and I promosed my self that It will take only a minute to spend coz I have to cook. But when I arrived at mylot there' a lot of new discussion that is very interested and I don't want to outdo the chance of responding coz I know when I came back again I will missed the discussion.

If I find alot of discussions that I can respond to, I do tend to stay longer than I had planned. Sometimes I think the time just jumps up and changes just to make me think I was. LOL

I used to spend more time than I really wanted to, but the newness is worn off now so I don't spend a lot of time here...:} I have gotten my system working well for me so my time is used better here now.

I keep thinking I should have some kind of system, but I have neve been disciplined enough to stick to a routine.

Actually, I don't spend as much time on here that I would like to! I just have so much going on with my life that I am literally only here these days for a couple hours every few days. I must admit, I spend most of my time on here when I am at work but work has been so busy lately that I just haven't been able to. I haven't posted in a few days on here...

I do sometimes. I am deciding I am going to spend more time on here than anywhere else. I am going to try to answer a post from everyone of my friends discussions everyday. I know that that will be a big challenge but I want to try to do it. Thanks for the post, and have a great day.

I love talking to people on mylot! we have great and interesting discussions at times, that are quite fun, and it is amazing what you learn! so, if I am heavy into a discussion, it could be hours, or even days, or not at all, it just depends.

Haha. Yes, I always sign on thinking I'll only be on for a short while but next thing I know time has gone away.It is amazing how fast time goes when you are in the middle of something. My husband plays poker in the evening after work. He is always saying that he did not know he was on for so long.

Most of the times, I plan to just logon and post responses and then logout. However, once I am logged in, I just swim round and round and when I realised it, it was hours already. I do not even have time to view my own discussions.

Absolutely and I hate it! Not because I don't want to respond to discussions, but because I have things to do and when I get off mylot and start doing what I had to do, i rush. And I hate to be rushed.

This happens to me all the time. I get caught up in replying and lose myself completely. Not that i had anything else better to do anyway but if i do that too many days in a row and i sit down and look at a couple things and then just feel burnt out and i sign right back out without doing too much of anything. I had to stay off for 2 days once just because i had s[ent 10+++ hours on it a day/night for a week and when the weekend came i just couldnt do it anymore and had to take a break.

Yes, the first day I joined, I responded to three people, filled out my interests a little bit, made a discussion or two, and then left. Friday I was on for a little bit, Saturday I don't even thing I was on, Sunday I responded a bit, and then today...I've been on for like the past three hours. I was thinking how I should respond to everyone on my friends list, all of their discussions, and I've been doing it ever since I got home from college, when I should be doing my homework. I really need to get off...

It happens a lot, I guess it happens almost all the time. I start responding to the top discussions down to categories. After that I would check out my friend’s discussions and respond to it. It can really be engrossing I know. I would spend more than two hours just by discussing here.

Tonight I have spent a lot more time on mylot then I expected. This doesn't happen all the time, but every now and then I find the hours just slipping away and I think, "How did that just happen?" Good discussions can make time fly you know what I mean?

I used to do the same thing. I'd get carried away with increasing my post count or even just reading different discussions. But since I haven't been around here much for the past few months, I now find it hard to get more than 10 or 15 posts. It feels like I've been on here forever, and I look and see that I did only a tiny bit of posting.

When I first started on MyLot I would find myself on here for hours at a time without meaning to. But here lately I haven't had much time for mylot at all. Sometimes I will go for a week without getting to log on and then when I do I don't get to stay too long. Maybe one day I'll have more time to hang out and chat again.

i had planned to spend 3 hours on mylot everyday, but now i spend 6 hours or more on mylot. frankly, i have to say that i'm addicted to mylot, although there are fewer and fewer new discussions everyday. sometimes i dont' want to post anything, but i still log in mylot, and read some discussions and responses without any posting. sometimes i can't leave mylot, because i have lots of words to post here, and 6 hours are not enough for me , then i will spend 10 hours. one day i spent 19 hours on mylot, i can't believe it now.
