Reincarnation?Heaven?Or do we live the same life over again?

This is a question that eludes me everytime, and I haven't made up my mind about what I think, and perhaps never will. On the one hand you want there to be a Heaven(and that you'll be going there) coz it's something to look forward to, so in a sense you're excited about going there, if it's as good as they say it is. But on the other hand you might wich to live your life over and over again so that you can do things differently, I'm sure most of you have wished you could turn back time and change things. Or you might think that reincarnation would be good so you can be someone completely different and live a completely different life and see a different time in the world. It could be any of those things, or none at all. Some people think it's just nothingness once you die, I can't say I'm one of them though, mainly because that would not be something to look forward to. Another idea my brother gave me was that maybe we live in a parallel universe so that right this minute there are hundreds of us as individuals and we're just living different versions of our existence. What do you guys think, I'm very interested in hearing what everyone else has to say on the matter. I like to think about the different ideas when it comes to life after death, so all your views are much appreciated, no matter how strange they might sound.

yes Reincarnation is a fact.Anyone can be hypnotized, and be regressed to a Past Life. Also if you are really interested there are loads of good books on the subject. Yes you are right! There is lots to look forward too. You can come back as a Baby and start life all over again. You get to choose your Family too. I've viewed a few of my Past Lives, and they were very interesting. Get some books from your library, or buy them in a bookstore.

It does sound fun. I think some of my dreams have something to do with a past life. Not the ones you have when you're thinking deeply about something all day then you dream about it, I'm talking about the random ones when you keep going back to certain places you have never seen or and as far as you know, don't exist. I feel lost but at the same time at home, it's weird. Yeh, I might get a few books out and read up a bit, when I get the time.

yes We always have free choice. God gave us that. WE never Have to do Anything.... we can always choose! Thats how we evolve. From one lifetime to the next.

This is a diffcult question for me. I think that it has a lot to do with the individuls beliefs. I don't think that we live the same life over and over again, but I think that reincarnation is possible in some shape or form, especially if your purpose on earth was not fufilled. The sad part about it all is I also believe that you have no memory of any previous lives or anything like that. It is an opportunity to "get the job done". To fufill the purpose we were here for in the 1st place. I always think of this little saying my fiends send me sometimes in their emails it says something like this " I would rather live my life thinking there is a heaven and finding out theres not, then living my life like there is no heaven and finding out there is". That says a lot to me, I guess you could say I am one of those people that live their life like there is a heaven, just in case.

That's an interesting concept. And I think I agree with it in a way. I think we all have a purpose in life, no matter how trivial. But that belief kinda conflicts with the belief that we are reincarnated, because I don't believe that when we die our new life is connected in anyway to our old one, so what would the 'job' be and how would we 'get it done?' And you're totally right about that saying about Heaven. It's always better to believe in something like that, perhaps not 'just in case', but to give you hope that there will be something better. To thnk that this is all there is, is too awful to imagine, kinda like people who don't think there's a God. You need that belief to keep you going. Those things have become more than abstract now, they're like a part of our existence. Whether they exist or not, we need them.

I don't think you die until your purpose has been fulfilled. Thats why its such a peaceful process.

It doesn't matter what i "think" or what anyone thinks for that matter. My bible says that there is a heaven and a hell. I believe that those who choose to believe in Christ and accept him, will be in heaven. Those who do not will be in hell. I pray for those who don't believe.

But what you believe IS what you "think", and if nobody believes the Bible then they're not going to believe there's a Heaven and Hell.

Yes, but my point is that it doesn't matter if they believe in heaven or hell. If they choose to not accept the truth, which is the bible--they will go to hell, regardless of what they believe.

Well that's a matter of opinion, that the Bible is the truth. I'm not even going to get into that discussion now, because it's absolutely not what this topic is about.
