I just read that a school has issued a no touching ban for its students. From what it said the students cant even hug, hold hands, or high five. I was just wondering if I am alone in thinking this is taking it a little to far?? Here is the article.... www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19293872/?GT1=10056 Read it and tell me what you think.

It's stupid... touching is part of human behavior, you can forbid kids to touch their friends.

That is taking it a little too far. Kids are going to be kids and I think that if they cant even do a high five that is way too much.

You certainly are. Do they want those kids to grow up walking around and being afraid to even shake someone's hand? There is common sense and that school does not have any. Hugging someone does not mean that person is going to attack the other person. It just means they are glad to see them.

This type of thing is a very difficult subject because I agree but disagree with it and I do feel they have gone too far but then again it is only for the childrens safety but I do expect the teachers to do the same as the children. I am just curious on what they will do during gym when they play together and they might "touch" one another and also with the new rule it may confuse the child and make them feel unwanted because they show affection at home and outside the school and it is ok but in school it is not and very well might confuse the little ones. We don't have this rule but they are beginging to get more strict then the years before and find some things a little extreme. -Lora

As I read the article it seems that the school oofficials have got some leway ast to how far the kids can go.. It seem perfectly ok because of the gang violance and misinterpted toughes. This way they have averted any problems. Thins have changed so much. When I was in school we were not allowed to hug or hold hands in the halls. There are some kids that will go too far if you give them a little bit. And those are the kids that cause the strictest rules.
