First Date Rule . . . . !

"Dont try to hard to make a good impression with overly elaborate planning" theres no cut dried answer to this except it should be something you know she'll enjoy. This is a girl you've admired from afar since preadolescence; surely you know what gets her motor running. However, a word of cautio: don't try to hard to make a good impression with overly elaborate planning. More than anything, a date should be a chance for two people to get to know each other. Make that your primary goal instead of sweeping her off her feet with some extravaganza you'll likely not be able to sustain in the long run, anyway.

This is a good advice that I would like to share with my friends over here. You are totally right and I do agree with you. I don't like to impress people for something that I am not and try to be another person instead of myself. As for me, it is "take it or leave it' situation. If he doesn't like the real me, I think there is no further discussion about our next level of relationship.

That's a great piece of advice. I agree about that. Don't try to go over the top and use the 1st date mainly to get to know each other. Then take time to go from there and see how things go.

I think thats a pretty good rule. Most girls that I meet feel that I am not being truthful and thats because they say that I am very proper. I was brought up in a real good home and I went to a british school so I have been taught to speak in a certain way - to say things like pardon, sorry, excuse me, etc. I dont try to make an impression, actually I am just way too shy to even approach a girl. Usually a girl might come up to me and say something and thats how I get to talking but I guess I have to break out of my shell but, I think you have a good rule. You cant have elaborate planning because spontaneity is great!
