It's not a easy task to cook for so many people! If u're making Chinese cuisine,it really takes time.

I usually cook for an average of 5 people. For the most part I do a lot of crockpot dinners or at least part of the dinner in the crockpot. It saves me time and saves from heating up the kitchen in the summer. Lately we have been doing a lot of salads, fresh veggies and fruit.

Usually it's just the two of us. We're not very creative about our meals, they stay pretty much the same as we are trying to be frugal.

Wow - 5 under 10 you have your hands full. Right now I basically cook for myself and occasionally 1 or 2 of my grandchildren. We all live in the same house but have our own living spaces and eating scheduals. Once in awhile we all eat together but that's maybe once every few weeks.
I think I want to come to your house though - sounds good, I'll bring desert :)

I live alone and there is no fun to cook for just myself. I think being able to share with someone make cooking funner and happier. I don't usually cook now as it's really hard to cook for just one person and I don't like to have left-overs. I would buy take-outs or eat out most of the time. And even if I "cook" at home, it would only be my favourite instant noodles.

it is fun you can experiment and then if it goes well, invite some friends over for a meal, and show off your culinary skills, or use them as guinea pigs(like i do) lol

We are six in the house, along with my 4 y/o niece. Me and my father exchange task in cooking for the family, as we love to cook and serve our family members.
My father is the one assigned to cook for us today, so I better ready my gastric juices because I know it's one heck of his own cooking inventions again!;)

We're a family of 5 but since my eldest hit about 12, more often than not I cook for 7-10 people. He has just always been a social butterfly & always seemed to have a handful of guests. I have a rule that if someone is at my house at dinner time, they're eating with us. And we always eat dinner as a family. I was an only child of a single mother and although we always had dinner together too, I always felt like it wasn't real family time since it was just the two of us. So as an adult I really treasure & enjoy meals with my kids & any extras that are here. My son is now married with a child of his own & recently moved back home; so now instead of a gaggle of friends it's his partner & baby at the table with us.
