Since Windows Vista is now on market, do you prefer using this new released OS of Microsoft or you'll stick to your Windows XP?

I will stick on to my Windows XP, its better and not memory hungry, I don't need the features provided by Vista, they all are useless from my point of view.

I agree, though Vista has good graphical presentation, still the quality of the performance is not yet proven. Thanks for sharing.

It was time to get a new computer with the power I needed to make some money online. Since I am a Dell girl I went to them and got the one I am using now. Dell with Vista. It is a bit paranoid about security however it has performed so well for me I have no regrets. I buy new computers and do not waste my time with recycled ones. Good luck when you decide to get your next computer.

It is running really well. I am so spoiled that now since my house burned and we are selling the land. My next spot must allow me to compute at this speed. lol Dell has been a great company for me to deal with. They even helped me get this duplicate computer since I had just upgraded before my housefire. So check them out and good luck no matter what you do.

Windows Vista can not be run on most of the old computers as they need more compatiblity than old computers.Windows Xp with service pack 2 is easy to install as well as it can run on the older as well as newer pc.So,I would recommend Windows Xp more than Vista as most of the function of Windows Vista is also available in Windows XP.

I also read in an article that Vista needs more memory than XP.. I just admire the graphics though.

i heard my friends say that vista was really bad and that i should stick to XP so i never tried vista, then i also heard many of my friends say that vista was really useless as it too much time to load.

I'll stick around with XP for a while since i dont find anything special in vista other than the beautiful interface with aero theme... And also my system has only 512 MB ram..although this is enough for vista the performance will not be that good in it,...so i am currently sticking around with XP

Right! Vista requires a minimum of 512Mb but you are not sure if you can rely on that memory if you already installed more applications... hope others may have the same conclusion about this two OS..

i don't like vista much unlike xp i needs more memory nearly about 20 gb free space and 1 gb of ram to run it smoothly so its costly and xp is used for years and we can just let it go and vista is so we can't say about it's security and user friendly and now i am used to xp so i don't like to change it runs very nicely in my machine !!!!!........

Stick with xp, i have both and there is no comparison, xp is much more stable, I regret ever purchasing the system I have now, in fact as soon as I can afford it, the vista is gone and will be replaced with xp pro

How about the comparison with their securities? I have read an article and it was written there that Microsoft Vista improves a lot when it comes to security risks.

I could say that it gives me an idea between the two but not that superior. Vista is not yet perfect when it comes to security (but of course one OS should contain its own anti-virus or else!). Some Malwares and adwares can be missed by Windows defender of Vista but some can be detected and it gives the user a warning/s. But some threats can still slipped through its Windows defender. Hmm.. I guess we cannot still call Vista as the one we're waiting for to stand out to those headaching threats.

When it comes to Vista, there is no versus. XP all the way.
