How texting or sending sms affect our youth today?
Seems like not just only teenagers fond of texting. You can see anywhere, in every corner, lots of people do texting, heads are bent down, thumbs are busy pushing tiny buttons, laughing all alone, feeling tickled. WIERED!? hahaha, though its just part of the new generation, but do you think using shortcuts in texting really made easy? But how about to someone will recieve and read those lines? For those students who love texting, How are shortcuts affect to our youth?

I think our kids are spending way too much time texting. As a text operator for adult chats, I see hundreds of kids texting adult stuff without a care as to who they are chatting with. We are supposed to discourage them from adult topics, but encourage them to keep chatting. It just makes me sick. I have to admit I don't exactly do my job, because I do everything I can to be a "scary stranger" when I see that the chat client is a child. some of them are as young as 11 or 12! Many of them try to send me photos and give me their address and phone number. This is absolutelyhorrifying! Parents, know what your children are doing on these chat lines. It doesn't matter if it's the Internet or SMS messaging, they are putting themselves in danger! You should know who your children are chatting with. If I am chatting with them, they are safe, but what if they are chatting with the neighborhood pervert?
Waht were you thinking giveing your 12 year old a cell phone with unlimited texting? Put limits on their activities so that you can know they are safe. Get them a Disney phone if you must let them have cellular service. This way you can not only control when they use their phone, but monitor how they use it and to whom they can call or text.

I had my 1st cellular phone and started texting when i was 13 years old, yes!it helped me alot especially in communicating w/ my friends and other members of the family.Texting is cheaper,so its really really fun and enjoyable, but as time goes by i noticed that im starting to get confused in word spelling, because of the shortcuts in text-messaging,it kinda brain drained what i learned in my spelling subject when i was in elementary.
