Yes, I used to do that a lot when I was living at home with my parents, mum was forever cooking and baking and I loved her coconut cakes, trouble is I was far too impatient to wait and as soon as they came out the over there would be my fingers grabbing one of the buns, and OUCH! It was far too hot LOL! That will teach me, but I never learnt those buns were far too good to wait for!

Owwwwiiiieeeee! I can feel it now. The worst is always the hot cheese from pizza, burritos, chips and cheese, or whatever. When it's all drippy hot then sticks to your tongue. Only thing I know is I grab a glass of cold water and stick my tongue inside it for a few seconds. HAHAHA. Looks silly as hell too. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Yeah, that is pure misery. The only rememdy I know is time and maybe something cold to drink. It isn't like you can put medicince on the burn. Or, maybe suck on a stick of butter...lol. You know the old wives tale of putting butter on a burn.

Best think I know for a burned mouth or tongue is just not to get them. My kids pick on me because I tend to 'touch' my food with a finger before putting it in my mouth - touch test is better than burned mouth.
