My floors are driving me nuts!

We have stone tile floors through-out the house. And, they show every speck of dirt and grime. And, no matter how well I clean them, they just get dirty again within a few hours. I haven't tried every floor cleaner on the market, so perhaps, I'm using the wrong cleaning solution. Currently, I'm using a simple solution of alcohol and water or ammonia and water to clean the floors. And, most times the floors look really great for three or four hours, but get dirty very easily. Maybe the floor needs some type of top coat. What do you think? I used to hate linoleum in our other house, but right now, I'd be willing to rip up an acre of white stone tile with my bare hands and replace it with linoleum in a second if I could!

That was the first thought I had when you said, "Maybe floors need some type of top coat." Once you clean them well try the liquid wax that you can squirt out and spread with a mop. That may help you. I bet when the tiles are nice and clean they are very beautiful.
