As a large and linguistically diverse country, India does not have a single official language. There are 22 official languages and numerous other languages spoken.. I feel it is amazing that a country remains one with all such linguistic differences.. What is your opinion What is the case in your country..

As u have said india is having different languages to speak but having an official or national language as hindi by which we can have conversation with the rest of the states which reside in india. Perhaps having diversities in the country of india but have a unique word from all the people live in india.

No my friend, you cannot have conversation with the rest of the country in Hindi, because millions of people do not know the language. Not only that we have two official languages. English and Hindi. The court proceedings in India are mostly in English. English is more effective as a link language in India. Now by the popularity of IT and internet English is claiming new significance. Thank you.

India is literally a land of diversities. Cultural diversity, linguistic diversity, religious diversity, geographical diversity.. we can name any number. Inspite of these diversities there is a general theme in the cultural front which is common to the length and bredth of India, and there we find our identity as Indian. This is our unity in diversity, and it is because of this unity we could face all the challenges and continue to exist as a soveriegn democratic republic. Thank you.

really amazing! Though China is linguistically diverse, and it's virtually impossible for a person to catch another from a different area,China has only one official language.
