She´s scarring my baby!

Yet another reason I don´t like other people to look after my kids: My sister in law occasionally takes my infant son for an hour or so. It lets me work or spend time with my toddler My baby still has those white zits that newborns have, and she keeps picking at them! I didn´t have proof until today. My husband left the baby with her. She was the only person in the house and when she brought my son back to be fed, I noticed that his nose was bleeding where she picked out a zit!

Well that needs to stop pronto. Have your husband talk to her and tell her to stop picking at your baby. I remember my sons both having those. The doctor said to leave them alone. Maybe do some research via internet that says leave them alone, print it out and conveniently leave it where she can see it !!!

I had my husband ask her not to do it. She claims that my son just scratched himself, but it was pretty obvious that someone had done it to get the zit out! A baby isn´t capable of that kind of precision. Anyway, now she knows that I am not happy about it, so hopefully it will stop! If not, she simply won´t be looking after the baby anymore.

They're not even zits :) They're actually called milk spots & they'll go away as the child gets older! I probably wouldn't be leaving my infant with anyone that i even thought was doing something - apart from them not even being zits in the first place, i'm sure she's causing some pain by picking at them. Tell her if she doesn't stop it then she wont be looking after him again.

Oh no that is terrible. She is probably unaware what she is even doing is bad for the baby. I would let her know immediately! Good luck and let us know of her reaction.

Oh my! Tell her she can easily cause an infection and to stop it. That is just crazy anyway, you know it has to hurt him when she is doing it. I would let my husband talk to her since it's his sister, but if it happened again, I would be the one to say something. That or she just wouldn't watch him and I just give up the free time. That is so wrong and goofy of her.

OH GOODNESS! You must educate her that those are normal and to pick at them can indeed cause scarring! They will go away after a few weeks. I can't belive she would have the nerve to do that to a baby!!! If it concerned her she should have spoken to you and recommended a physician. (although the finding is normal and requies not physician)

I wouldnt allow her towatch him any more if she wont stop. Explain to her that as your baby grows these will go away on there own. If she wont stop then refuse to leave him with her.

You should definitely say something to her, and tell her to stop. Those zits will go away on their own so there's no need to pick at them. And there's no need to scar a baby like that. If someone had done that to my son when he was a baby, I'd probably have smacked em around a little bit.
