Vigan

Vigan - This is the street in Vigan. The old houses are made of bricks and were built during the Spanish era in the Philippines. The people also speak Spanish. Even the street were made of bricks. They just added some cement.

My best friend and I visited this city several times. We love the place like you're in an old spanish era with all the brick houses and establishments. We love the old church. The food, especially the empanada and ukoy are very very delicious. We ate them right in the middle of Plaza Burgos.Yummy! We also visited the Baluarte of the famous Governor. There were lots of animals and the big-sized majhong tiles. We also went to their beach resorts. We really enjoyed our visit.

i really love this place. my ex-boyfriend is from here. he brought me there with some other friends twice. we went to the 'heritage' (that's what they call it) i felt that i traveled back in the spanish era. the old houses are still there, slightly renovated but still looks antique! we ate empanada, longanisa and my favorite bagnet and kalamay. then we climbed in a bell tower of one of the churches there, from there we can see South China sea. i really love the breeze of the wind and the view! the place was really beautiful.. even though we did not end up together, and even broke up for terrible reasons, that did not change the image i have about vigan.. and i will definitely be going back there!
