Please share what your pet peeves are in My Lot! I wouldn't add anything more to this discussion, because this is what my biggest pet peeve would be. When someone ask a question and don't follow up with their view point or opinion is on the discussion that they started. These are the type of discussions that I generally will not respond to for this reason. I have several other pet peeves that I will add to this discussion as it progresses. Is your pet peeve the same as this, or do you have a different pet peeve? Thanks for sharing!

My biggest pet peeve is when I go on a topic and the same person has 10 or more discussions started that are one liners. For example~ ~ what's your favorite color ~are you happy today ~where do you live and on and on and on!! I just skip right over these. I go for the discussions where you really need a brain to answer.

The reply above yours is just about the same thing. So you must have been thinking the same thing when you were posted because they were only several minutes apart. I don't tend to reply to these either, taking a chance on having it deleted for one thing, and yes I agree with your last statement.

I have not really found anything to complain about... people are not perfect and they are forgetful and so that is why the follow up is generally not there. For me at this moment in time I am just enjoying writing and giving feedback wherever I can and as often as I can. Have a stunning day!

I have a couple of pet peeves. The first has to do with people asking to be your friends and then immediately sending you referral links to various web sites so that you can sign up. I didn't ask for them, and if I did, you would know. I like to add everyone as friends so that I can participate in their discussions, but they make it hard sometimes. The second would have to be people who answer an opinion question or a question for someone needing a direct answer with, "well, I have no experience with this subject" or "I really don't know an answer" and not adding anything useful or even relevant. I mean, if it's about posting on every discussion, I'd merely count all the discussions I post in a day by posting "1...2...3" and so forth.

You know, it happens to me a lot, too. I tend to add everyone, but if anyone does that I will literally go and delete them immediately. I don't hang out on myLot for spam, as I'm sure a lot of others don't.

The first one you mentioned annoys me too. I had one person spam me twice even after I told them via mail that I wasn't interested in their online referral programs. I think thats the only reason why they wanted to add me as a friend.

mine would be all the people that start like 20 or more discussions a day and don't really say anything. they start discussions like do you drink coffee or tea and thats it. not well i drink tea because and explain. i hate the one liners. there is a person on my freinds list that was starting good discussions but has changed now to one liners and the one day she started on that said it was raining where she was and that was it. drives me nuts!

I have to agree with you, and I have several on my friends list that have done the same. I turn my notify off on them, so they don't fill my e-mail up with these one liners.

Yeah, I've seen this too! They send them out one right after the other. I don't respond to them.

Information posted as truth when in reality it nothing more then Urban Legend and rudeness. There is no reason to be rude to someone and call them names.

I don't like it when someone starts a discussion about a certain group or type of people and their whole discussion is a blanket generalization. They have this long diatribe where they label and cast judgment completely and totally and then ask others to jump right in.

Thanks for your response. That doesn't make for good discussion at all.

Can't really say right now that I have any pet peeves with myLot but what you said does annoy me a little but as with you I usually just pass those up - there are enough other discussions to respond to.

not being able to edit.that's my biggest peeve. sometimes i won't see a spelling error til the last second, then it's too late. my other peeve has got to be people who don't read your discussion fully, take it out of context, and then jump all over you. sometimes i just stand back and go "what the #$%^ was that about?"

Okay I have three pet peeves when it comes to mylot. 1. My biggest pet peeve is when people respond to discussions with stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion. They don't read the discussion and just assume by the topic that they understand what is being asked. Why can't people just take a little time to read what the discussion is really about? Is it that hard of a task? 2. My second pet peeve kind of goes along with my first. It really irks me when people will respond to a discussion with "I don't know", "I have never done that", "I can't help you on this", or this one that I actually saw someone say "I don't want to respond to this one". These kind of responses are clear that the person is only out to make money and really don't care what the discussion is all about. If you can't respond with something helpful, then don't respond at all. 3. My last big pet peeve in mylot is when people start new discussions and then "never" respond back to those that respond to thier discussion. Now I am not perfect either and I don't always respond back to "everyone" that responds to my discussions. But I do try to respond to most of them. Sometimes the responses are so simple that the only thing that I could respond back would be "oh okay, thanks!". So those I just don't respond to. But what I am getting at are those people that are always starting new discussions and "never" respond back to anyone on any of them. Again this just makes it obvious that they are only here to make money and really don't care what others think. If they really cared, they would respond back!

A really big pet peeve of mine is when I tell someone something, we might have the same conversation several times, and then they still ask me about it again. It's like they never listened to begin with so why keep talking!
