this was a great movie. I cried through this movie. I was only 3 years old when all those football players got killed. I can't imagine the pain the families and town went through. They were a lot of people who felt guilty and that quilt probably stayed with them for all their lives. I live in WV and never knew until they made this movie what had happened. It is a shame that I did not know more about the history in my own state. Hope you get a chance to watch this, it is very good.

I just bought this movie on dvd yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It was very sad when the players and staff were killed and how hard it was for the families and friends of the victims to move on. I did not know this happened in real life, which is sad. Glad that the school has moved on and is doing well in real life.

I have heard alot about the movie when it came out, but I never had the chance to see it before. Maybe I should rent it someday. Thanks for the reminder.

I just watched this movie yesterday. It was very good and very touching and made both my father and I cry. It was very well done and one of the better movies I have seen lately. Glad you enjoyed it too.

Oh my God, I love this movie, I went with my hubby to see it at the theater and I cried throughout the whole movie. It seems it took forever for it to finally come out on DVD, but I will be buying it soon.

I watched it today on cable. It was a very emotional movie, and I enjoyed it. I often watch movies that have to do with the mourning process because I spend so much time embroiled in it in reality. At least, I'm mourning in 2009. In the 70s when this happened, you didn't even go to therapy which I find very helpful. Instead, you just had to get through it somehow. Often, the somehow was destructive behavior such as drinking or pushing yourself to continue something even when you had injured yourself. Neither one of these are very good coping strategies. Although, I don't drink, I sometimes employ the second one. But, that's why I'm in therapy. This movie was very realistic, and I enjoyed it even though I don't much enjoy sports.

I was seven years old when that incident happened and barely remember, but I got to see the movie and I just love how by one person talking about keeping the team and all, they decided to keep the team. I was telling on another question how Marshall comes to Mobile for the GMAC bowl and we give them a Mardi Gras parade before the game and the folks that come from W.V. have a good old southern time.
