AT&T quietly introduces $10 DSL plan

Without any fanfare, AT&T Inc. has started offering a broadband Internet service for $10 a month, cheaper than any advertised plan.
The plan, which is required by the FCC to be offered for 2.5 years, will offer speeds of 128kb/s upload & 768kb/s download. The FCC is also requiring AT&T to offer DSL by the end of the year that requires no local phone service.

That's a great deal (though you have to do some digging to find it). It's a lot cheaper than what I'm paying now, and it's less than what Verizon charges in my area for their best DSL deal. I'll have to see if AT&T DSL is available in my area, thanks for posting this.

I guess soon DSL will not cost much....you can pay for DSL from money made on mylot...:)

i have at&t dsl plan, it is alot more than $10 dollar a month. i wonder if i can switch and get it for 10 dollars a month at all, it would be nice than i can cancel my home phone too, i wonder how this going to work out. thanks for the information

Wow, that sounds like an awesome deal! I'll have to check it out here locally. I just hate the thought of possibly switching again in 2.5 years. I like to stay with the same company. We will see! Thanks for the information!

yes, what I like is new plan, when you don't need to have regular phone for DSL

Wow this is super- I wonder if that is fast at all? I'm not really into gigabytes or whatever- I pay now $39 I think for time Warner Road Runner- sure it is fast but so expensive! I think I'll check into this.

Well, that is so good for them and it sounds like it will draw in alot of people. I hope it does work for them because they really need it.
