I run my own business and am constantly being phoned by charities thanking me for all the good work I have done and to confirm an order that I apparently made a few months ago.
When I question that they get very persuasive and insist that I am tied to a contract.
I now tell them where to go!! but anyone just coming into business might not be so lucky and get conned.
How can we stop them?????????

Most legitimate chrities woulod not do such a thing. Unfortunatley, there are many many con artists out there who try to take advantage of the good nature of people to scam them.
I would get as much information from them as possible and then turn it over to local law enforcement.
