i see nothing worn with that. As a matter of fact if tthe couple is loving at home it will show wherever they go. Love is something that cannot be hidden so I wish India luck on that. As for me I touch the one I love all the time and if I cant I feel as if a part of me has gone. Call me romatic or foolish I dont care but thats how i see it. Have you ever looked at a loving couple. I dont mean young lovers. A matured couple who has been together for a long time. I saw one in my church one sunday and I was so impressed I think I may even feel jealous not sure. I was testing my eyes and saw and elderly couple and if you saw how she held on to him and he on to her, my eyes filled with tears. I want that too. So nothing is wrong with it as long as it is something that is being done at home and practiced all life long. It will come naturally. No pretense because it was always there. If it is a pretense it will be known believe me.

Hi Sharon! Indian culture is quite different from yours. We are still a conservative bunch of people. It is okay with us if a couple held hands or hug or even give a peck on the cheek. Anyhing more than that we beleave should be confined to four walls. hanks for your response.

Definitely I wont support PDA. As you said being an Indian i cant tolerate this type of modernization and imitation of western culture at all. But our young generation is thinking it is right and they don't even know what to do in these type of circumstances. As mylot is a place where you meet people from whole over the world you may get different opinions.

Lovely, I do not support PDA...seeing the culture prevailing here (in India). My personal opinion is displaying affection and love is strictly a private affair...and should better be done in a private atmoshpere. It (PDA) is often misconstrued and viewed with great suspicion. Even if a husband & wife are displaying it....it is, I think, not properly and well received by the beholders. I myself do not show my affection in Public (for my very near and dear ones). deepak

Hi Deepak! Thanks for your Opinion. Infact hugging friends/family who are close to me is my habit.I don't mind if someone close to me give me a peck on my cheek or holding hands or give a hug. Anything more than that, i think, should be confined between four walls.

Hi lovelydame, I am against the Public display of Affection, but when things are brought out to public it loses its charm in it... If one is doing the thing that one are supposed to do within the four walls in public, then will she/he do the public jobs in privacy, within the four walls..

Hi saivenkaat802003! I completely agree with you that PDA of extreme nature should be confined between four walls. At the same time i think hugging, holding hands etc should be permissable. Thanks for your opinion.

I do not support PDA. It should be private. Public display is not right.

Hi Sunder! I support PDA to some extent. I do not see anything wrong unless it is irritating and embarassing for the onlookers. Anyways, thanks for the response.

I have a PDA, but I don't use it any more. As the battery is easy to run out. Now I have a smartphone and I think it works great.
