If you were to be awarded a free holiday in any country in South East Asia for one week with your partner, which country would you go to and why?

well i would like to visit either cambodia or taiwan with my partner to enjoy the sceneries. i felt very attach to taiwan because i'm addicted to their chinese tv series that's why i wanted to visit the places that were included in my favorite tv shows. somewhow cheesy but that's just me. i also really want to visit cambodia because of the ancient angkor wat. i wanted to visit that historical place before it's totally lost because it is known that land mines are surrounding the temples, anytime it can blow the temple one at a time. also trees and fungi are starting to get ahold of the temples, slowly damaging them.

Many thanks for your contribution, yuanchang. I have not been to The Philippines and hope to tour Manila one day. Can you suggest the place of interest that I should visit and what a tourist should do in Manila? http://jwstravel.blogspotcom

Thailand. I've been there twice and I love it. I spent two months there the first time and a couple weeks the second time. I've got many friends there and a place to stay. I worked in an orphange there and I miss those kids. I'd go back and visit them anytime. I love those kids and I can't wait to see how big they've gotten over the past few years! Plus the people are so nice and friendly. The country is beautiful in all areas. The food is amazing and I like the spicyness of it. I love the fact that everyone rides motorcycles everywhere!

Good job in looking after the kids while having the time to see the country. I hope others could follow suit. http://jwstravel.blogspot.com/

I would choose to go to the Philippines. It sound like it has really beautiful palm fringed beaches with coral seas good for snorkelling. I have seen photos of some delightful places to stay right on the golden sandy beaches. I think it would be best to fly into Cebu. That way we could explore some of the neighbouring islands. I would really like to see the Chocolate Hills in particular. I would decide on this free holiday because I love tropical beaches and I adore island hopping. So far I have visited a few places in South East Asia. Sumatra in Indonesia was very exciting. Singapore was fantastic for shopping. Malaysia was very interesting with the old temples. The beaches there were stunning. I wish I had visited Thailand as well but sadly I ran out of time.

Wow! You have been around South East Asia quite a bit, haven't you? Too bad you did not have time to do a Thailand trip. You should try to make another attempt some time. You won't regret it! http://jwstravel.blogspot.com

well you could visit intramuros in manila where in there ruins and historical structures from the spanish era. i suggest that you go to banaue rice terraces. because it is the eight wonder of the world. you can also try sagada it's on the way from the banaue rice terraces. if you have the MONEY you can go on a chartered plain to aman pulo.
