A friend and I were talking and it got me to thinking about any ideas that you have around your house that you put together and others have wondered where you got it because they liked it . Most of my friends often comment on our bed about how comfortable it is , I am not fussy on it , probably because I know how it was made lol . We didn't have a bed frame so my husband decided to make us one . He found some nice wood and made a box , in the box he formed an X with the wood and then we threw chip board on top of the X and this is what we have our mattress on top of . Over the years we ended up with a headboard from another bed and we have this at the top of our bed , it looks like it is attached but if you were to hit it you would see that it is only sitting there with the mattress holding it in place . Another thing we had for years was a coffee table that was made from the bottom of an old rocking chair , when turned upside down and a sheet of wood placed on top of it , it makes a cute little coffee table for a living room . This we had for years until my mother gave us a coffee table that she wasn't using anymore . The other thing we have that was something my husband made was a plow . We can't afford the price of a real plow so he hooked up a piece of steel or metal ( not really sure ) to the front of one of his old three wheelers . It works wonderfully as a plow in the winter and saves us the money of having to have our driveway plowed and my husband loves to go out and plow the snow with it and usually takes one of the children on the bike with him while he is doing this . Many people that have seen it , have commented on what a great idea it was . What things do you have around you house that was something you put together out of things you were not using . We all have something even if it is a vase that wasn't meant as a vase to hold flowers ?
