We got the news earlier this week that my husband Paul's uncle Bob was diagnosed with lung cancer. It has matastisized to his lymph nodes. The doctors give him six months to a year at most. They plan to do chemo and radiation to try to prolong his life but don't know if it will do any good. We would appreciate any prayers, well wishes or whatever you do in the case of something like this.

Oh you have mine sweety. We are still going through a terrible time with my father in law, so it's really fresh in my mind & heart what it's like to have a loved one sick. I will say a prayer for him as well as all of your family.

Uncle Bob passed away on Monday July 16th. He had been diagnosed about a month before this. He did not get as thin as he could have from the cancer.

He passed away July 16 and we buried him on July 21. He is no longer in pain and is in a better place now though.

Our deat and heavenly father we just lift this family up to you Lord, We ask that you will put your comforting hand upon the family members of this one with cancer, and the one dealing with the cancer itself. Lord, we know if it is your will this loved one can be healed. Lord just give them strength and comfort in their time of need. In your precious name I pray, Amen. Please keep us update with any good news or more prayer request.

I will certainly add Uncle Bob to my prayer list - you never know, a little over a year ago we had a young man at our church with the same situation - this past Christmas he attended church service for the first time in nearly a year because of all the treatments he was undergoing but guess what - he's not only in remission but doctors can see no sign of the cancer at all.... Prayers!

I am sorry to hear this news. I have lifted prayers for Bob's family and pray that we will meet him someday in Heaven. Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4

I wish I could say that Bob had that kind of recovery, but he passed away July 16. He will be missed but not forgotten.
