Braces may be different today as opposed to when I wore them, but there was nothing comfortable about having Braces. Chewing gum was the worst. LOL

they were never comfortable. it can give you a lot of mouth sores. a lot of food gets stuck to it. it's hard to floss. and yeah, FenwaySox is right, it's so hard to eat a gum because it'll get stuck to the brackets.. lol.. =D

I had to wear braces on my top teeth when I was in Middle School for about 2 years, and then I wore a retainer for 3 years after that. I hated the braces at the time, of course, but I am so glad now that my parents were able to afford them for me when I was young so that I could have a nice, straight smile throughout my life.

I had them... all through my senior year in high school. It as cool, I guess. I mean, they were for a good cause, right? It was always funny, I had to wear a special mouthguard when I played football because the braces actually cut through normal guards. It was weird, it was a lot bigger than the normal mouthguards. Other than that, it wasn't a big deal. And now i have straight teeth.

When I was in high school I had braces I think I was either a sophmore or a junior I forgot what grade I was in it was one of those. I hated braces they hurted a lot especially when they had to tightend it which I couldnt eat anything hard for a few days and plus I bit my lip a lot with braces and that was annoying.

Yes, I had braces when I was in high school. My closest friends and family called me "metal mouth". I didn't mind because I was literally a metal mouth. At any rate, after my dentist removed my braces, I was the envy of my friends and family. mwahahahaha.... :)

I had braces - by choice - in my early twenties. I am very glad that I got them. The one bad thing that came out of it, is that I notice everyones teeth! Nothing annoys me more than crooked teeth.

I had mine for more than two years now and I wish to have it forever though that would be impossible.

it was weird because in our country decades ago when braces was "a new dental technology", it was very popular in school to have braces so my mom had me braces during 1st years of high school. But I hate it, though I was able to survive the 2 years with it, then it was upgraded to retainers.

I did have braces, and I got them when I was young, so I never really had to deal with them in high school or even older. I do admire those adults that get them, because a beautiful smile can make lots of other people smile!
