OK I want to know what your child's favorite foods are. What I really want to know is their favorite lunch or dinner. My son is so picky and rarely wants to try new foods. I would give anything to have him eat more veggies. HELP!

My children aren't picky eaters. I can feed them just about anything and they won't mind. Have you tried dicing or mincing up the vegetables in to his food. I add carrots, peppers, and other vegetables to my spaghetti sauce. When I make the children chicken noodle soup I will throw in some broccoli or cauliflower. I like to serve my children diced meat, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, cheese and a little ranch dressing in a whole wheat pita. Its actually on of their favorites. Or you can take a wheat tortilla a spread some ranch dressing or mayo on one side, take a couple of slices of meat, lettuce, and cheese. Roll up and serve. My children love these. You can also do the roll up with fruit as well.

My daughter isn't a fussy eater she i can give her anything for lunch - i even tried 1 day just giving her cauliflour & brocoli, she ate it ALL! She ended up having extra carrot afterwards too! Maybe you could try giving him the corner of a pasty, it's meaty but with veggies & stuff in there? I also let her have sandwiches, instand noodles, i can buy a can of chunky soup & just give her the chunks :) If you make a soup (depending on his age) you can puree it & put it in a cup or sippy cup, then he wont know what's in there but it'll be all the good stuff! You could also try buying flavoured sausages, they usually have veggies in them or make them yourself - put a hole through the middle & fill it with a veggie paste! Good luck!

Oh you can get things like veggie nuggets (so they get chicken & veggies at the same time) & stuff - we also buy Bubble & squeek (they're mashed potato with corn & peas inside a batter type thing - like the outter of a chicken nugget). Tasty & full of the things you need him to eat!

Have you tried growing your own veggies? My 3 kids (6,4 and 3) are not only "fruit bats" but huge fans of all kinds of veggies because they help me plant and tend the edible garden. Not only can you guarantee what is going into their mouths (no chemicals, etc), but it is a healthy and productive activity that saves on the grocery bill as well.

Depending on the season, I plant anything from watermelon and peanuts, to zucchini, cabbage, lettuce, etc. The more interesting the plant, the more "love" the kids provide - eg peas and beans need supports to grow, while peanuts flower and bow their heads to the ground. My 3 year old daughter loves to pick herbs from the garden to flavour a variety of dishes (yes, she knows the difference between parsley and oregano). A fine appreciation all round really for the food we consume, and the labour necessary to generate it.

This is awesome. Kids certainly do like to get involved. What else do you plant in the garden? Do you plant watermelon?

My daughters is not a picky eater, but her favorite favorite, is when I make taco salad, using ground turkey instead of ground beef, and make the chips from corn tortillas.

My daughter has so many favorites its easier to say what she doesn't like. I am pretty strict though with food. I don't cook separate meals if she chooses to be picky. You eat whats there or go hungry. My daughter loves her veggies and fruit. Many times I have to tell her to put down her veggies and eat her meat. She is an incredibly healthy eater. I don't really give her a choice though. What we have available for her is local organic produce. It kind of comes down to what we give them access to when they are infants and toddlers. If they are allowed to eat tons of prepackaged junk like fruit roll-ups (they don't contain enough juice to even use the name!) and sugary yogurts (they do make organic yogurt without the added sugars), and other junk then I doubt they will love fruits and veggies.

Well I do not have kids yet,but I helped my mother in bringing up my siblings. My sister and brother like to have french fries, chicken nuggets, fried peas, sweet and sour vegetables, egg fried rice, mash potatoes, coated spinach.I know kids are too picky in eating and once they get habitual of any food they want that everytime. But in my family everyone is fond of eating since childhood so it helps my mother whatever she cooks everyone eats it happily.

my boy always wants popsicles, but if he were to eat normal food he likes chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese.
