Actually my husband cooks more than I do. I don't cook much because my husband works late at night so my son and I just have easy stuff for supper. I don't know what your girlfriend likes but maybe cooking her a steak and potato and a salad would be a good choice. Good luck!

Generally my spouse cooks at home always, occassionally I cook some food, which is apparently truns out so good that my wife relishes it very much, which makes me very very happy.

Hi sameen0705, i agree that in some homes, today also , there are women only who are cooking all the meals for the family and nobody is there for the help. but in my case, i must say that i am very lucky. i am married in suc a family, who never ever imposed any work on me. my hubby is full time in kitchen with me, when i am not well or canot cook, he can make everything, everything means everything. my father -in-law is also like this. infact my mother-in -law dont cook much. its alwayz my father who cooks and we have a maid for the chappati making. but my hubby can make the chappatis too. he is expert in making the dough and then the chappatis. i like potatoes, so he makes very delicious mashed potatoes for me. he also cooks very delicious chicken. when ever we are having guest, for the chicken , he can manange the whole show on its own. whatever he makes for me, is alwayz tasty, as the loves that he mixes is the most important ingredient that makes his every dish for me the best. i can compromise anything made by anyone infront of his dish. as he know welll that i love potatoes, so anything made out of that, i love to eat and he loves to cook.

My fiance cooks dinner for us most nights of the week, because right now, he is not going to school or working. When he starts school, I think we will probably divide the schedule more evenly, since we will both be busy. Mostly what he cooks is things that come in a package with instructions. I think steak is the only thing that he cooks where he "wings it."

I actually do about half of the cooking in my house. More than anything I enjoy it, especially when I get into an experimental mood.. For special occasions, like the day I asked her to marry me, I cooked up some crab cakes (Ok I cheated and used canned crab meat but did the rest by hand). In the past, since we both enjoy seafood, I've done salmon filets, with some garlic butter, and some pesto thin spaghetti, and/or a salad. I do do some more mundane dishes, but those have been some of the more special time ones...

cooking is not a duty or a womans "routine chore" it's a task to be shared equally in a couple.
