First of all, I don't own a credit card. I choose not to. My husband has offered to supply me with one but I have repeatedly refused. I believe, I would feel compelled to use them. If i just depend on cash.. i know I would not spend unnecessarily. If i don't have cash, there's no way for me to buy it, right? If i had a credit card with me, and no cash.. DING! SWIPE! lol!
So eventhough, i haven't really answered your question.. I hope you find my thoughts on this, somewhat entertaining! :)

No I have credit cards, but I don't use them any more. last year I stopped using my credit card and moved the debt onto a 0% for transfers credit card. This offer runs out in August so I have just applied for another 0% for transfers card. In the last year I have halved my debt and now every penny goes to pay off what I owe - I never pay any interest...
This only works as long as you never use the card - I use cash or a debit card or else, I just wait 'til I have the money the old fashioned way!
It is a mistake to use a card when you don't have money - when you don't have money, don't spend! If you do then you are probably spending more than you earn and that is going to get you into trouble...

I don't own credit cards any more even though I am thinking of getting one for an emergency. I won't buy something unless I can afford to pay for it outright.

I only use credit cards if I am absolutely broke, because I know how hard they can be to pay off. I have many bills because I ran up credit cards during time when I had no other options (was too sick to work). Now I only use them when I absolutely have to, or if I am planning to just use it to get rewards and then pay it each month.
I do use debit cards a lot, because they are convenient and keep me from having to carry a lot of cash. I also use my debit card for any transaction that I'm not sure of, because my bank will help me if I have problems with the company I'm buying from.
I really only carry cash to pay for cabs, which don't take cards where I live. Otherwise, I think I would just use my debit card all the time, as it is easy and just takes the money right out of my checking account. That way I don't have to worry about guessing how much cash I'm going to need and coming up short or something.

I don't have credit cards, I have debit. But it all depends on the situation and where the most money is. If I am trying to hold on to my cash and I have more on the Debit card, that's what I'll use primarily. On the other side of the coin, if I don't have much on the debit card, or the money on the card is earmarked for something else, or if I am in a place where I can't use it, I'll use cash.
