how to create karaoke files

if i had the lyrics and i had a midi how do a created a karaoke file? What is the logic of a karaoke when the lyrics follows the tone?

There are a few programs out there, but most of the ones I know aren't free. It looks like the one mentioned above is probably a better one for you than the ones I was going to suggest since it is free. I think I might even try it too.
