Hey guys...do you guys have a myspace account? or do you think it is only for teenagers and their friends. How about those of you who are parents of teenagers that have a myspace accounts--what do you think of this? Do you allow them to go on and do whatever they want or do you have precaution on what they do on the internet?

Yes I have an account - I only signed up for one as I had a few old friends that thought we could all catch up with each other there. But I also like going there to find new music.
My oldest has an account there but I do have his password and he knows that I can check his account anytime. It's just better for honest, open communication between us.

Yes I have a myspace account, I opened it so that I can jeep in touch with my family and friends around the world. My 9year olad son has an account also but I have set all the prefrences to private and I don't a;;ow him to log in on his own. He enjoys it because he can share thoughts with his cousins:) I never allow my son to go onto the internet alone, I always have to be the one to check the sites that he ask for, like you mentioned; "as a precaution!"

Oh...my son also has one and I too stay on with him while he uses it. He uses it to communicate with his friend who moved away from us. We never know what will happen in the internet.

I think Myspace is for eveybody but parent should caution on some of the people they meet online.

My children are aware of the consequences of meeting new people online. And they always tell me about it. Thank you for the response :)

I have a myspace account, at least I think I do. I am hardly on it. I am too busy on myLot, working on my novel, housework, watching the Food network, and getting ready for our trip. I am not a teenager, but it was recommended by our writing group so I took out an account.

hmm...its okay that you don't have tme for it. But, your writing group recommended that you have one...whys that? is it like to keep in touch with others like all other people use it for?

I signed up because some of my friends have it and plus to get back in contact with people that was in my High School. That is mainly about the only thing I use it.

I have one. My parents let me have it mostly because they trust me not to be a complete idiot and use it for dating. Also, my older brother has one so he can sort of spy on me, which leads to the idea of adults having one. He's 28 and a lot of the people he knows also have one, like old highschool friends and whatnot, it helps them stay in touch.
