Tough Question... Abuse

I never got abused in my chilhood and i think punishing the kids is better than abusing them.

Luckily I was never abused, and I thank God for that. I have read the abuse story called A Child Called It, and it is just horrifying. I feel absolutely terrible for anyone who has ever gone through that. I don't understand how any parent could bring themself to hurt their child!

I was never abused when I was a child my parents dont beleave in hitting there kid which is good because I agree with them if I ever have a kid someday I would never abuse them even if they deserved to be hit I just couldnt do that to my son or daughter I just dont beleave in that there are other ways in handeling punishement then abusing your kids.

Wow this was a pretty straight forward question but I like to tell my story. My mom was a nieve woman for along time so alot of our lives we were getting pyhscially abused. There was me, mom and my little sister. We gave up everything for many years while with this guy and I seen alot of stuff kids shouldnt see or ever expericence. Anyways for me it changed my life and I think for the better. I did have some problems with the law growing up but Im managing to stay out of trouble for the last 4 years. My poor sister though I think it has ruined her life. She was so innocent before and now shes an absolute mess. She cant cope with any kind of stress or anything. She has wicked mood swings and suffers from nightmares. Because all of this she been treating my mom really bad for years and I hate my sister for it but kind of understand. Although I worked through my own pain and messed up feelings I dont think my sister can and refuses to go see anyone about it. Worst thing is now she has a child shes raising by herself but my mom is doing all the work and she cant stop yelling and mood swinging and Im affriad my neice is going to end up like her. Anyways this was my story.
