we were amazed that Iraqi people are blowing up each others' mosques. What is the reasoning behind this? don;t they follow the teachings of the same leader? And how long before someone decides to blow up some place else, like Mecca? Or how long before Israel decides to nuke Mecca just to stop the terrorism? What do you think?

I believe the same thing is happening in Ireland by the IRS(?). The Irish are Catholic and are blowing themselves up in parts of Ireland owned by England (protestants).

That's been done with for years now. And it was for representation in parliament, not religious theory. its similar to what happened in the States over here in North America

Yes the Suni & the Shites are both of the same faith. But one follows the son of Mohammed's wife & the other follows the cousin of Mohammed. It would be like if Christianity had split after Christ assended into heaven. One following, say, Mary & John & the other following Peter. Does it make sense to us? No, but then again, Christians killing Christians because they don't follow the same leader doesn't either. Who is right? Since when did people care what was right? Killing people isn't right. I remember that movie about the pigmy meeting tall people, "The Gods Must Be Crazy."
