After readign this i now belive there may be more good peopel in the world than i think there really is what do you think. Frank Giustra, one of Vancouver's wealthiest entrepreneurs, is donating $100 million to a sustainability project in Latin America headed by former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Giustra pledged the initial amount to the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative (CGSGI) plus half of all future earnings from his work in the natural resources sector to the effort. Giustra's donation will be matched by Carlos Slim Hel, Chairman of Grupo Carso. “I am honored to join President Clinton in launching the Clinton-Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative today, and I am pleased to personally commit a minimum of a $100 million to this project, as well as half of all my future earnings from the natural resources sector for the rest of my life,” said Giustra. “I firmly believe that this innovative partnership between the Clinton Foundation and the business community – and the mining industry in particular – will have a profound and positive effect on the lives of countless people in the developing world during the months and years ahead.” “Collective action is the best strategy to address the economic, educational and health hurdles that confront millions in the developing world,” said President Clinton. “I’m proud of the coalition in the natural resources industry that has come together to invest in sustainable growth in emerging economies, and humbled by the enormous financial commitment to this work by Frank Giustra and Carlos Slim. This initiative will focus on improving living conditions in Latin American countries and other nations, in partnership with the mining industry and other sectors. Ultimately, our goal is to bridge the gap between the rich and poor, and give all people a shot at a better life.” http://www.canada.com/globaltv/bc/story.html?id=1a649a5f-6e05-4d0f-a985-3822227455dd&k=3602
