I am for stem cell research ...i really dont see the moral dilema...the cells would be taken from an aborted fetus...why is it morally and ethically ok to stop a pregnacy but not use the embryo ...seems to me that is kind of double standard... is it moral or ethical to destroy the embryo and not use it?Many People waiting for cures from terrible disease should be the focus of not just Drs but the politicians ...In the USA they tried twice now to pass a bill... it passed house and senate but the PResident, because of His religious views, vetoed it...So much for separation of Church and State...everyone is entitled to an opinion on topics but when the representatives of the People vote how their constituents wish them to, should not the president abide by that vote? We the People By the People for the People... This is a controversial topic and there are two sides to it ...this is just how I feel about it...i could be wrong it would not be a first believe me lol ToriaT

I think Adult Stem Cell research is great! It has already brought us over 30 treatments for disease and trauma. On the other hand, Embryonic Stem cell research has gone nowhere and even the most optimistic scientists say it won't for another 10 years. Embryonic Stem cell research is a waste of money, time and resources.

I think anything that can be used to save lives should be there for scientists to use. It is not like they are aborting children just to harvest the stem cell. In fact now they have found ways to get the cells from the umbilical chord and from other places from living people. It is time that we in the US have the options that are being denied us because of someone who has ultra conservative views. As long as they aren't killing the children just to harvest stem cells then I see no problem. Maybe I am biased because I have diabetes and that is one of the conditions that stem cell research is hopefull to be able to help, but I do believe you can help everyone with this research.
