Do you have exercise equipment at home?

I have 3 really nice pieces of exerciser, one treadmill, an ab-doer and a stationary bicycle. I'm having the hardest time getting motivated to actually using them. I seem to go in spurts where one day I'll use them all and feel like I've done really good. Then, of course, I'm sore the next day so I don't feel like doing them. Then, it seems they just set there for about a month and then I try again. How do you keep motivated to keep doing it?

I have a few pieces of excercise equiptment. What I have to do to keep myself motivated to use them is, I have to excercise with in 5 to 10 minutes after I get up in the morning. I get up do a few things and then I go in the basement and put on a DVD, I start stretching and then I get on the treadmill for a 1/2 hour. After that is done, I am ready for the next piece of equipment. When I'm finished with everything, I go take a shower, then I start my day, feeling good, mentally and physically.

Hi Sherry, I do have quite a bit of exercise equipment at home. I have a stationary bike, a treadmill and a lot of free weights. I also use them quite often (at least 5 times a week). I think what keeps me motivated is the fact that I have seen the results of working out (I am now down 70 pounds since I started). :) cheers,

Yes I have an exercise bike that I bought a few months ago, I started on a health kick, walking every day so I bought the bike to add to my daily routine but I can't get into it and now that the weather is cold I have lost all interest in exercise besides I can't keep off the computer at least my fingers get plenty of exercise. LOL

Nope I dont have a single piece of exercise equipment I have something better. I have 4 kids, 2 cats, 2 birds, a husband and a messy house that has to be cleaned too many times a day. The problem with me is I have a medicle condition that limits the amount of time I can be on my feet and I have to take time and sit for a few. Have I lost weight? Yeah right I wish. But I am workingon it and trying to work through the pain alittle bit every day and hopefully it will get a bit easier every day.

I have a gazelle walker, a ab-lounger, a rebounder and a exercise ball. I do not use them every day. I wish I would start. I am like you one day I do them and feel great but then I don't want to for a while. Not good exercise habits, huh?

I don't have as much as I use to but when I worked and had alot at home as soon as I would get home I would put my stuff down and go work out for 30 minutes. I had weekends off lol. Try and get some friends or family over and it will help motivate you since you will have someone to work out with. I have a lateral thigh trainer and I can't wait til my dr says I can start working out again. That thing is so cool and works really well. I lost a dress size using it a couple of years ago. I don't remember how long it took me but you can feel it working and now thats the only machine I use. I was thinking about getting that cross crunch machine for your abs but not sure if it really works.
