When you have company over and you know some of them are smokers, do you let them smoke in your house or do you ask them to go outside? It really doesn't bother me, I just open some windows. But, I often wonder if it bothers the other guests. Once in the winter, I had my den especially for smokers to use when smoking. But, it kind of divided the party, as the smokers all stayed in that one room.

Well, I am a non-smoker, and do not really like my girls being around smoke. However, if I have somebody over I tend to let them go ahead and smoke in the house. I will likewise just open up some windows. I do not want to insult them or hurt their feelings, and I know the smell will go away soon. cheers,

Nobody smokes in my house, nope nope nope, not gonna happen. We are not smokers and really don't like the smell of it. If someone comes over who smokes, they are welcome to sit on our front porch and smoke. We have a large front porch with rocking chairs. It's never been a problem for us because everyone knows we don't smoke, so they are respectful to us.

I prefer they smoke outside and even have an outdoor ashtray near the side steps for them to use. I'm a smoker myself and when I go to other ppls' houses and they don't smoke, I'll step outside w/o being told. Just common curtisoy is all.

I am a smoker, so visitor's that smoke do not really bother me...BUT as a guest in someone's home who does not smoke...I will go outside and smoke...I do not feel that it is fair for me to smoke inside of their home when they do not....

I definitely don't allow people to smoke in my home. It really bothers me as I am prone to allergies. When I go to homes where the homeowners smoke I don't stick around very long especially if there are many smokers. Not only that, I hate the lingering smell on my clothes and the taste in my mouth. Yuck!!

My younger son is the only one that smokes in our immediate family. If anyone comes they don't even ask they just smoke outside as my son does too. The smell of smoke really bothers me and after a while I get sick. My husband has asthma so he cannot stand the smell of it either.

Hi. I myself am a smoker and when i visit my mom's house, she demands me to stay in the garden. When I go to other's people houses, they dont mind if i smoke in their house, thats because they smoke too but when i visit other nonsmoker's houses, they usually request me to stay in the garden or at the porch..sometimes, they slyly open their windows..you really cant help it if other people are bothered by the smoke..
