When I arrange my wallet yesterday before going to bed, I saw my secondary school photo. That make me recall what happen in my secondary school. During my teens, my family is not well-off, I need to work to earn my school fees and pocket money. Thus, I kinda lone-ranger so not to spend too much $$$ going out with classmate. Moreover, my school extra-curriculum activities is the uniform group so I am in the sun most of the time. I joined the school military band and volleyball. As a result, my skin is very tanned (I used to be fair). I am not sociable and I only talk to a couple of close friend that I know since young. Talk about look, I am simple, beside school uniform, I am always in t-shirt and jeans. No makeup, no accessories, same hair style, plain plain plain. So, a group of male classmate love to give nickname to disturb the girls. Their nickname like cinderella, sleeping beauty, tweety bird, mama smurf, swan, duckling, chicken. And me, a very very long nickname..."AS UGLY AS A CROW". Everytime they saw me, they will shout "as ugly as a crow is coming, run for your life". I will look at them and smile. Then, one day one of my told me how my nickname come about, he told me that they say I am dark, do not have a sweet voice, outfit is outdated, ugly. I smile and tell him that it is find, it's ok, I don't really care what they call me, name is just an addressee. Who care, whatever. Do you have a nickname when young, and how the nickname being created.
