Anyione here still eat Bovril with their porridge? It has been years since i bought one so the other day i brought home a bottle of Bovril.
After tasting it, i realise that Bovril does not taste as I fonly remember it to taste like. Reading the ingredients i found out that they are not using beef essence anymore but a yeast "of similar taste".
a search on Bovril on the internet brought to light that a few years back, in order to penetrate the Indian market, the makers of Bovril decide to change their recipe to cater for non-beef eating hindus. No wonder Bovril does not taste like it use to!
Anyone familiar with this product taste it to be different even though they use yeast "of similar taste"?
