I saw a story about the national archives offices has, per presidential order, been charged with the responsibility of making sure that classified documents are handled correctly. Apparently Vice President Cheney thinks that his office is exempt from this cause he is not part of the Executive branch. When questioned about this he supposely tried to have the office abolished. This may or may not be a matter of natiional security. Since when is it ok for a member of the government to abolish (or attempt to)something just because they dont like it?

Agree. This story is another example of why I'd love to see Cheney taken down a peg or two, to put it mildly. He is arrogant, and misuses his power in his own interest, and those of his friends. He should be going to jail instead of Scooter Libby. Throw Karl Rove in there too.

So true. And to think he is a heartbeat away from the Presidency...gasp!
