I know everyone does. Today I can tell you I hate it more than anyone else. There is a construction crew widening the street the company I work for. They have ripped up our driveway once, but we had notice. About an hour ago we noticed there was one of those diggers outside and it was putting dirt down. Well, a co-worker went to leave and said they are now digging up the driveway again. So we have no way to get in or out right now. I get off in an hour and a half. I am pretty ticked off. I wonder why they didn't notify anyone they were digging up the driveway so we could all move our cars.

I can see why your mad. I moved to this city called Peterborough about 3 years ago after a big flood. Well ever since then there has been constant road work. Theres never any notice in the paper or anything just one day boom there they are. My problem with the construction is not the noise or even the no notice its the damage it keeps doing to my cars. Since I have been in this city I have had 4 cars and each car if not once but twice would get a broken strut or shock. I think people dont get any warning when construction starts because the local govenments dont want to hear all the wining and complaing they figure their going to hear.

LOL That is true. People complain about construction. What really get me mad is how long they take. I lived in Texas briefly and the amount of work they got done in one day would take the guys here at least a month to do.

I agree, it is bad enough when they hold up traffic, but when they block driveways it is really a pain. Once a few years ago they blocked my driveway and made me late for work because they had dirt piled up and my car couldn't get through it. They never let me know they would be doing this. I heard them out there and thought they were just filling the potholes, and the next thing I knew they had a pile of dirt grated up covering the end of my driveway.
