Does your baby like to be swaddled?

Mine HATES it with a passion. She will lay there screaming and squirming to get her arms free of that blessed blanket! I have definately never encountered such an independant spirit at such a young age! She's only 3 weeks old. She has also started the fighting sleep syndrome. I can see its not working out for her, but try to tell her that. I don't think so.
What do you do with babies that refuse to be swaddled, but obviously need more than the overall basics.

I think it has to do with the babys personality. My oldest loved to be swaddled. My little boy that is soon to be a year old, hated it, But he wanted to be held non stop. She however did not want to be held. So a little different than one another.

Mine are both ones that need (needed) to be held all the time. It can get a little maddening sometimes.

My firstborn was like that, he detested being trapped, he had to have his arms free at all times. I just ended up putting him down like that, there isn´t much you can do! He ended up sleeping fine once he got over the startle reflex. He´s 18 months old now and he still prefers to sleep without anything covering him above the stomach!

Yes, that is what she is like. Its crazy. My son loved being swaddled. I just hate it cause it takes her forever to get to sleep. And by the end of the day, that is NOT cool because I'm exhausted from fighting constantly with my 4 year old.
