Worried about pregnancy complications for older women

Most likely I'll be way over 35 years old, by the next time I'm ready to have a baby. So, I'm concerned about potential health problems that might come up. What type of problems would an older pregnant woman encounter? If you've been in this situation before, or know someone that has, I'd love to hear your story.

my mom was 38 when she had me and she was 40 when she had my youngest sister. pregnancy is a case to case basis. it is not because you are 35 and might encounter such problems. the best thing you should do is to have an open relationship with your doctor, she is the best councelor you can ever have. i have fopur kids and all of the pregnancy i have differs from the other so it might be different for you as well. but my advice is always drink freshly squeeze lemon juice and milk and water as well. it will help your child and you as well. goodluck

My mother was 40 when I was born and my Aunt was 45 when she had my cousin. Neither of them had any problems and we both turned out normal. That was over 40 years ago and I am thinking that medicine has come along way since then so as long as you are healthy it shouldn't be a problem I wouldn't think.
