Was anyone born with a birth mark? What is it and where is it?
I wasn't born with any birth marks but my son was born with a little dark brown freckle on the right side of his tummy beside his belly button. It is so cute as it is the only freckle he has.

My daughter was born with what they call strawberry birth marks. They are blood vessels that are just beneath the skin and are raised so they are very noticable. She had a large one on her arm and several on the top of her head, and a few little ones scattered about. She is grown now and they have faded. They say if we had wanted they could have removed them by laser but it never bothered her so we didn't persue it.

I have heard of them before. I didn't know that they could be removed... Or why anyone would really want to remove them. They help to make a person unique!

Also I don't think people should be doing all this added stuff to their bodies (medically)...

Hi, I haven't got a birth mark, but alot of my friends do. There were a few people in my school who had pretty large ones on their faces. One of the girls started getting hers removed as it covered more than half her face and I think by the time we left she'd had at least half of it removed successfully!

I had a friend in highschool who had shingles and his face was left with dark splotches on it. He was embarrassed byt it so he went and had them removed. It took him almost 5 years but now you can't even see where they used to be.

I took a look at the Link, I guess it says it will go away before puberty eh?
ThanX, I always like to learn new things. from the sounds of it I woulda honestly thought it was just a strawberry birthmark lol.

I have a very small birthmark on my inner thigh. It's pretty small and not very noticeable. My son has a "stork bite" on the back of his head (near the nap of his neck). It's not very noticeable because his hair covers it but his Dr. told me that it's a fairly common birthmark.

A stork bite, that is so cute sounding! I've never heard of it.

I had a birthmark on my face... and a little at a time it moved up the side of my face until it disappeared. It started on my lower face and then was up almost to my forehead. Weird huh?

My son has a freckle on his belly as well. It is just a little above his bellybutton and to the left. It is very cute, LOL. It is the only freckle he has as well. When he was a baby I used to ask him where his freckle was, he would lift his shirt and point to it, LOL.

I used to ask my son the same thing! LOL! That si way too funny. I would ask him "where is your freckle" and he would pull up his little shirt and point to it. He used to love to show friends and neighbours lol, my kid is a freckle flasher.

I was born with two rather unique ones. There was a small "cluster" on my collar bone that looked like the Hawiian Islands. My mom has a picture of it somewhere in a photo album w/ a piece of a map she cut out that has the islands on it.
The second one was on the inside of my right elbow, and it was shaped like a hibiscus flower. My mom has a photo of that one as well, next to a photo of a hibiscus.
What's really interesting about the birthmarks (which faded by the time I was in high school) is that I was actually born in Honolulu.

That is so nifty! I gues you will always be linked to your "home land" of Hawaii then! no matter where you travel. That is so cool. And as for the hibiscus flower, well I guess you'll never have to get a flower tattoo then lol!
