Has anyone ever frozen yellow summer squash? I just put about 4 quart freezer bags into my freezer. I hope it does ok. I can't eat all I am getting from my garden and I don't want it to go to waste.

I have frozen squash and it turns out a bit limp. So best baked into something. Check out your local library and see if they have a freezing cookbook. That will tell you what you can use it for and how to prepare it for freezing next time as well. You can make up several baked goods and freeze those if you wish to use up that glorious squash. Good luck with this.

I was planning to bake with it, so that's not a problem. I have a couple recipes for squash casserole. :D Thanks for the tips.

I love yellow summer squash! I have never had a problem with frozen squash, but I would suggest removing as much air from the bag as possible. :)
