Tammin Sursok
As Adrianne Leon recently posted in her MySpace blog,
she was abruptly fired from her role as Colleen
Carlton on The Young and the Restless. TVGuide.com
reports the CBS sudser has just issued a recast
announcement: Tammin Sursok is the new Colleen.
Sursok's first tape date on the Y&R set is Tuesday,
June 26. She will first air on Monday, July 30.
The 23-year-old Sursok is a native of South Africa,
but was raised in Australia. She is best known as Dani
Sutherland on the long-running Aussie soap Home and
Away, for which she won Australian TV Week's Logie
Award for best new female talent in 2001.
She left Home and Away in 2004 to pursue a pop-star
career Down Under. Sursok moved here to the States in
2005 and has since been working in films, including
last year's Aquamarine.

I hate to hear this as I like the old Colleen and I don't like it when a character changes actor or actress. I think it is hard for them to step into the role and hard for us to accept.
I guess we will have to see how she does and how the chemistry is with the Professor. I also would like to see the storyline with them evolve more. I still believe that he is somehow connected to Jana.

How sad .. I did like the old Colleen but as of lately she has taken a back burner to other storylines, even though she had great chemistry with the Professor. Will be nice to see someone new in this character, I wonder how she will do.

I read this on www.tvguideonline.com. I was sorry to see Adrienne let go. She is gorgeous and very talented. Although I didn't like her storyline, I did like her. I wonder if General Hospital will take the time to get her back on GH as Brook Lynn, Ned's daughter. When she previously played the part, she was good, but underused.
