My 16 year old is ADHD and he is supposed to take medication same as younger kids but he refuses to take it. I think my oldest son is ADHD also but he's never been diagnosed - just has all the signs and he's 32 - luckily he learned a trade, construction work, at a young age and it keeps him busy but doesn't have to do the same thing for long periods of time - he owns his own business now.

ADHD is attention deficit hyperactive disorder. Two problems wrapped in one :( As for the changes or getting worse with age I'm really not sure but my youngest son's doctor actually told him that there are times when people will 'outgrow' the disorder and be 'normal'.

Hi! My husband has ADD. He was recently diagnosed with it a couple months ago, but he always suspected he had it. His doctor put him on a low dosage of Strattera, but after 30 days, he realized it wasn't effective, so the doctor increased the dosage to 40 mg. of Strattera. He's tried it at that dosage for 2 weeks now, but still doesn't think it's as effective as it should be. He has a doctor appointment on Monday, so we'll see what she'll try next.
My husband is a welder, so he needs to stay focused at his job. He's very fidgety, and can't sit still for long, unless he's watching a really good movie. He also has a habit of tuning people out when he's being talked to, and won't remember what the person told him.
Good Luck!
