Favorite Celebrity Chef

My favorite celebrity chef used to be Jacques Pepin, followed closely by Martin Yan. I know that I don't see either of them very much any more(maybe because I don't have cable tv), but I was just wondering who you liked. Most of the cooking shows I get to see now are on PBS on Saturdays. Many have come and gone through the years, like Julia Child, Justin wilson, etc. I really liked them a lot. I do have a preference for the ones who cook real food, not all of this new-age stuff that looks like it wouldn't fill up a bird.

Love the new avatar honey! I think we have different celebrity chefs here in the uk and I think my favourite is Ainsley Harriot - even thoiugh nowadays he tends to do more presenting than cookery - he always makes cooking look fun and easy! xxx

The two i like are not chefs, they are cooks.I like Paula Deen and Rachel Ray.They make cooking look fun. And they do cook real food.Miss Paula does southern style. She isn't afraid to use real butter.and Rachel uses ingredients that you can find in your neighbor food store.

Oh my goodness...this brings back memories....I don't watch cooking shows much anymore...hardly watch TV period anymore...But I must say, when Jacques Pepin was first introduced this country through Julia Child (who for some reason couldn't stand) it inspired me to make a go of doing my own French Cooking...And oh, yes I remember Justin Wilson...have his cookbook--I make his rendition of Sweet Potato pie, and the Louisiana meat pies....Remember the Galloping Gourmet too?? And I know what you mean..I like a meal that looks like a real meal...some of the most expensive restaurants like Le Cirque here in NY are famous for charging a bundle for meals and it looks like a portion fit for a munchkin
