Women, have you ever had to make the first move on a date?

I had to once. I never in my life made the first move on a guy on a date in my life until I dated P. I am shy myself, but P. was really shy compared to me. We had a couple of dates and he never held my hand, put his arm around me or tried to kiss me. I was very attracted to him and decided if he didn't make a move on our next date I would! Our next date was at the movies and we sat in the back row, which I took as a good sign, but still no move from him. Finally I asked him if I could kiss him and he said yes. After the movie he thanked me. He just couldn't get the nerve to make the first move. Sometimes a girls gotta do what she's gotta do!

Well good for you, that you were able to make the first move. I was so shy, I don't think I could have done it when I was younger. Now, though, I think I probably could as I'm not so shy anymore, but I'm married, so I'll never find out.

I know exactly how you feel. I mean if I had not been so bold I would have missed out on a wonderful guy. I asked him out because he was extremely shy. and I made the first move to kiss him as well. all he needed was a little help. I am very happy that I was strong enough o overcome my shyness.

Hahahaha!Thats funny but great experienced of yours.I salute you!!!I never,did that before.Ever in my whole life.Lol!!!I am a very shy person too.I would exactlly wait the man to have the first move and i wont ever,ever do that even i like him so much...

Good for you.. I think it is becoming more common for the woman to make the first move these days, or even ask a guy out on a date. I think this is a good improvement between the opposite sexes. :-)

Hm, a couple of times I have had to do this. I know with my hubby, he was pretty shy, so I think I pretty much initiated everything! I remember our first date we were at his apartment watching hockey, and he was sitting kind of far away and I scooted closer and even then he seemed shy. lol. So it was all up to me. After awhile though he got used to me and realized I wasn't going to be freaked out or say no to him, so he was comfortable. lol. But he was really shy at first so it was up to me!!

I dont have any experience that i am the one who make the first move its always my bf. I like talking things important in life and all the sudden my bf said that we will go somewhere or he will going to visit me always if i dont mind. About kissing oh of all bf i had before i got married i 2 lip kisses and thats about it but its not my first move. I am too shy to make a first move. hehhee

I think I am traditional and I'm shy, so I have never made the first move on a date. It's so nice to hear that you ever made the first move. What a lucky man:)

nope...i've never done it and i really won't do it...when i'm attracted to someone, i don't even look his way! i get extremely shy that he'd think i'm a snob...
