Good for you, i don't know when my dad's gonna stop, my mom quit smoking last month, she's 59,she felt a pain in her chest.. and i'm worried about it, i've tried smoking before when i was in college, but i can't stand it coz i have asthma..I'm worried bout my dad,he say's that if he quit he'll die earlier.. dyu think smoking can lengthen your life? coz i once visit a clinic and i sure saw the cause and effect of smoking from head to toe.. :(

Hehe, now that explains why my girlfriends chews so much gum, especially when she's very nervous or tense. I've never been a smoker (except this one time, when I placed a bet with a friend, who believed I don't have the guts to take a smoke.), but my girl did, and she quit after alot of pressure from a good friend of her (I didn't knew her back then).
As you were saying, yes you don't have to worry about cancer, but I think you'll have to worry about gastric ulcer if you eat too much gum, as the stomach walls batter each other.

funny! I am doing the same thing, It was really hard to quit once I found out I was pregnant this time, but I figured gum would help and it did. Just think of the gum as a transition, soon you wont need as much gum and then one day you wont need it at all! =)
