Pincodes

I'm just wondering.. I know that when we open up a bank account or get a credit card they stress to NOT share your pincode with ANYONE. Do you share yours with family or spouse or a really good friend? Perhaps your children? I know I get literature about how important it is to keep that little number secret but honestly, my mom knows it, my dad, my little brother, my boyfriend, and his 2 daughters. I trust all of these people because I know that they wouldn't screw me over. Also it is so much more convenient because I live in the country, if someone is going somewhere and I need money out of the bank, I will give that person (for example my mom) my bank card and she can get my money out for me and bring it home.. I'm just wondering, do you keep that pincode a secret?

The only person that knows my pin code is my husband. Everyone else in my immediate family live in New Zealand so its no use to them. When my son is old enough I will share it with him too.

When do you think your son will be old enough to know your pincode?

Good question, I suppose when he's more responsible and trustworthy, say 13 and up maybe.

Yes I suppose if the chikld is raised responsibly there shouldn't be an issue. I know the first time my mom ever let me use her bank card I was terrified and awed. I sear I almost peed my pants and I was more worried about that and losing it or having it stolen or something than I have ever been about my own bank card lol!

The only person that knows my pin code is my fiance. We share our money so I know his pin code and he knows mine. It's not that I don't trust anyone else but I just don't have a reason for them to have my pin code.

I live with my parents still so I have sometimes a need for them to know my code lol. It is good that you and your fiancee share money. It makes for an easy way to pay the bills and less fighting about whose bill is whose bill.
