hi bala, thanks for such a nice discussion which gives a person few seconds to have a look at its ownself. When I look at myself, I find that I was a good daughter, good sister, good daughter in law, good wife and good mother as well........People like my company and feel comfortable with me....and I have worked very hard and sacrificed a lot to achieve this gift.....so I think I can feel proud of myself. But Bala,I will tell you a secret.....I was never a good student....lol......I was very buddhu narayan....till 6th standard...it was only after that I realized that we have to study in school.......ha ha ha

In a real sense, I am not. I am of a very humble beginnings. I work my way from scratch. I would even oftentimes offer manual services to cleaning homes, cars and anything to clean at just to survive and continue my studies. I was able to finish my studies thru hard work.Although I consider the assistance of many lady friends that I have come to knew and I have relationships with, I now made it a point to return the favor whenever I can. I can say that the word proud is not in my vocabulary. Only the word gratitude is what comes to mind when I consider my present situation in life.

I think of this only. Blaise Pascal:Do you wish people to think well of you? Don't speak well of yourself.

I am not sure what you mean by the use of the word proud in this question. Off the cuff I would say that pride is a fault that I am working on overcoming.

i can't say i am proud that my attitude and one's own attitude can't decide if he is proud or not.... its the people who judge them

I don't think I am a proud person to start with because I am brought up my parents not to be proud. I prefer to be someone of a good natured and a humble type. This is more suited for me because I have pretended to be proud before and it just doesn't suit me.
