Hello jayalaksmi, If you give short answer in discussions, your rating star will decrease, but if you give long answer, giving your opinior, debating about the subject, your rating star will increase!!! Try to give long answer! try to give, at least, 3 lines of answers!!! This is my tip!!! Bye ;)

There are indeed some things you can do to boost your star rating. You should choose topics in which you can write comfortably about. This will enable you to give a comprehensive reply to the topic that you have chosen. Make sure that you write as much as you possibly can. At least 4 lines or more. Also, when crafting your reply, make sure that you are polite. Always read through your answer to ensure that your answer will not be perceived as sarcastic or rude. Additionally, do check to ensure that there are no grammar mistakes or spelling mistakes. This will ensure that people will be more inclined to rate your reply as positive. Finally, do write in a way that makes your answer sound appealing or exciting. This tends to make people give a positive rating.

It's simple just make more discussion and responses that you make usually or if it's hard for you to do so just get on mylot each day and you will find your star rating increasing.

A good quality post can increase your rating but sometimes there's happening that you didn't expect to happened on your account. Some members rate you negative without thinking if your post is applicable to the discussion or not. His motive is to saw your ratings decrease. It happened many time here in mylot before. Better now, it wasn't happen again because it really annoying.

Hi flower, After you reach 100 post you can see that just at the side of your username there would be a star. There would be number in the star and the highest number you get, the highest ranking is yours. To maintain a high star you have to be active in mylot and usually give response to other with a positive attitude. Hope this information helps you.

Thanks for the info. I see that u have a yellow 8 star. As U know, you have 80++ rating over 100. I hear too the yellow colour also has its significance. I see so my stars here, sometimes I just wonder why mylot don't give an explanation on the star rating on their site. They sure like to play detective game.
