wide? I heard something about a 14 year old girl rode that rollar coaster in Six Flags in KY and had both of her feet cut off. And six flags can't figure out how it happened, so they closed all of those coasters nationwide. That's all I know. Is the girl ok? Do they know how it happened?

The ride she was on was not the Superman Roller coaster it was a tower that takes you up and drops you down. I have heard nothing about the Roller Coasters.

I didn't know it was the tower ride. How on earth did she get hurt on that ride. I have ridden those kinds of rides a lot. Have you heard anything about the girl?

The cable snapped going up and it was swinging as the ride came down. That is my understanding and I have heard nothing about the girl since.

Vanderbilt was able to re-attach one of her feet. But not the other one. I understand the family is suing the park.

All I know the gil lost both of her feet and she was 13 years old. They took her to Vanderbuilt. They are invesigated the accindent it will be closed for along time or may not open that ride again. When I heard about it I don't want to ride anything again.

The Six flags use to be Kentucky Kingdom and then Six flags bought it out and the ride use to be called the Hellevator. The ride had been around for a while, and it was a tower ride that they renamed Superman. She is still in legal bought with them and I dont know if they are going to reopen the ride this season or not.

I just read the story from the link posted in the first response. That poor girl! Those rides always did make me a little nervous, especially when, years ago, Great America here in California announced that their drop ride would be closed due to failure of the brakes. How scary is that to hear? Anyway, considering the name of the ride at Six Flags, anything with "Hell" in the name is doomed from the start as far as I'm concerned. I think I'm glad I've lost my touch (and stomach) for going on rides anymore.

I have lost my touch also, but my kids haven't. I didn't hear about that in California a few years back. I just keep thinking about that poor girl, and I pray that she doesn't remember any of it!

That is so strange. Stories like these make you want to stay away fromm theme parks and rides. Scary.
