Ketchup Vs. Catsup

What is the difference between Ketchup and Catsup? I think the main issue is name. Both Ketchup and Catsup are made from tomatoes and vinegar.
Why do we even have two similar items like this?

well not all catsup are made of tomatoes, some are made up by banana or other food flavoring.
like the one we are using, we use banana ketchup instead of tomato catsup.
and for spaghetti and other dishes, we use tomato catsup.for dipping we prefer to use banana kethup.they are different.
